What a year it's been... Happy New Year!

Here it's 10:30 pm on 12-31-05 and I'm trying to catch up Mack's blog while M's upstairs trying to catch up on some sleep. To all our friends and family, thanks for all your love and support during the past year. Our lives took a 180 degree turn and we're much better for it. Here's to a happy and healthy 2006!

Solids here we come.... This week rice cereal, next week... squash? or yellow veggies? or something else that gets smeared all over my face.

We're trying something new. Bear with me.

I'm just getting into this Flickr site from yahoo, pretty cool stuff. I think it might be a better way for the family to see mack pix while the blog can be more text based with anecdotal smudge. So Dad went out and bought camera phones for the family today to help ease the pain of four days away from M & mac. Now the real fun begins...... the camera phones are set to link directly to this blog. So,,,, you might run across some obscure pix every once in a while. Men and technology can be a pretty dangerous combination......

Winter's Coming! Only three more years until I can ski! 

Still sick, but getting better.... we hope.

Well, she's still not the Mack we know and love, just the Mack we love. Day three and still a bit fussy. A high temp with brief fits of laughter and smiles smattered into the day. Even when she's sick she has to throw a few guffaws into your day. Love that kid.

What a weekend!! We're beat.

Well,,, we all survived Cider Days and the tractor pull (thought I was back in Missouri) on Saturday so that we could do the "Crawl for a Cure" on Sunday. I joke, but it was a great weekend, and makes you realize how blessed we are to have family all around.

Mack had her first near sickness today. She seems better now, just a little bug.

I'll try to update more often

You look as if you've never seen a baby make her shirt into a turban.......It seemed like it was time for a goofy pick..... and this would fit the bill.

Sorry We haven't been posting this past week but my parents had a few seperation issues.... We're back, I'm still happy, healthy, and cute. We'll have more updates after my parent's teams finish their Monday Night game. Looks like Dad's team still stinks.....

Tough day....

Sorry guys, no new pictures, just a tough day.

Today was Mac's first day at day care & M's first day back at work.

We took her in together this morning. Once again I was totally blindsided. I got to the office and the team said "Did she cry?" and I said.... "Yes we did"

Growing up in a dual career family I always understood the potential impact on the child.

I never knew how hard it was on the parents......

Mac did great, ,,, M did as well as could be expected.

I learned not to implement your biggest company operations transition of the decade on the same day your better half goes back to work and places your child in daycare........



I'm not that bright.

They're home!

The Holmes family is together again. A good visit with the Nebraska family and a safe return home.

One problem, Mary's probably on the government watch list now. Since I left the parking garage at DIA last night in her car and returned tonight in her car, they were quite suspicious and delayed our exit until we could show ID and receipts from last night's visit.

I don't think many terrorists look like Mac.
Maybe I'm wrong....
